Safety Differently Book Club Pub Night Thursday April 18/24

Jeff Lyth and the good folks at the “Safety Differently Book Club” will be hosting a Pub Night on Thursday April 17 in downtown Vancouver. Its a fun group and a good way to unwind after your first day at the Western Conference on Safety. Hyatt Regency Guest Room Block Sold Out

MARCH 18, 2024: THE HYATT REGENCY VANCOUVER HAS NOW SOLD OUT OF ALL AVAILABLE SPECIAL CONFERENCE RATE GUEST ROOMS.  As the conference is also sold out of regular conference seats we will not be setting up any additional guest room blocks at any other hotels.  Fortunately as of today, there are a number of hotels in the downtown Vancouver area available at varying rates.

Conference Has Only A Few Seats Left

The Conference is nearly sold out. We have few “Breakout Session ONLY” 2 day seats available, and a few more Friday only seats. If you want to register for one of the few “BreakOut Session ONLY” seats please call 604.233.1842. If you want to register for the Friday only or the pre-conference courses, you can still register on line. With the limited number of  seats still available and the strong possibility that they may sell out before you contact us, we strongly suggest you DO NOT make any travel arrangements until your registration is acknowledged AND CONFIRMED by our registrar. Please note that the on-line form sends an acknowledgement of your registration but this is not a confirmation that your registration has been accepted.

They are working to support provincewide innovation, prevention and training, and enhancing the culture of safety in all healthcare workplaces in B.C.

Over 280 people have registered so far. Normal for this time is 135.

Wow, the conference is off to a roaring start. Normally an average of 135 people would have registered by this date, but as of today (Feb. 1/24) we have just over 280 registrations! People are coming from all over Canada including BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Yukon, Ontario and the North West Territories. The last 9 conferences in a row sold out so if you are planning on registering , do so earlier rather than later. You don’t want to suffer from FOMO (Fear of Missing Out).

2024 Conference Dates Set

The 2024 Western Conference on Safety will run Thursday April 18 and Friday April 19, 2024 with pre-conference courses running on Wednesday April 17. It will be held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver and there will be special low price room rates for all pre-conference course and regular conference attendees. The program is being developed this fall and more details will be posted on this website as they come available.
