Western Conference on Safety  April 18-19, 2024 is Now Over!

Thank you to the more than 1200 people who participated in this years conference.

The 2025 Western Conference on Safety will run April 14-15 at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver.

Exhibit Booth Spaces will open for sale in the summer of 2024 and Delegate registrations will open in the fall of 2024.

Where? Hyatt Regency Hotel, Vancouver, BC

2024 will the 26th running of this well known conference and will feature 2 keynote presentations, 22 conference seminar sessions, optional post conference courses and over 75+ tradeshow booths. Always one of the most popular occupational safety conferences in Canada it has sold out for the last 11 conferences. What makes it stand out from all the other safety conferences? Each year the conference steering committee members travels across Canada and the USA to find the most interesting, latest and best sessions and speakers and works hard to bring them to Vancouver. If you only go to one conference in 2024 make it this one!

Attending the Conference? Last Minute Infor You May Want to Know

  1. Commuting to the conference? It’s located in the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, 655 Burrard Street, Vancouver. The best way to reach it is via Skytrain with the Burrard Skytrain station located right beside the Hyatt Regency. Canada Line’s Vancouver City Centre Station is located just 2 blocks away. Parking will be very full at the Hyatt but there is a fair number of public parking facilities located close by.
  2. Arriving on Wednesday April 17? Beat the Thursday morning rush and pick up your delegate badge and on-site program at the conference registration desk. Located on the 3rd floor of the Hyatt Regency and open Wednesday from 3:00 – 6:30pm.
  3. Thursday/Friday Registration Desk Hours are Thursday 7am – 4:30pm, Friday 7:00am – 3:15pm
  4. Lunch is NOT provided as part of your conference registration. The hotel features the Mosaic Grill Restaurant and a Starbucks. Across the lobby breezeway is a MacDonalds and a Tim Hortons, plus there is a food court in the Royal Centre Mall under the Hyatt Regency. Just next door in the Bentall Centre Mall there are 2 more food courts. Outside at street level there are many popular restaurants and food trucks located within 1-2 blocks.
  5. The entire conference is a scent-free environment. In consideration of others, please avoid the use of perfume or personal scents.

Safety Differently Book Club Pub Night Thursday April 18/24

Jeff Lyth and the good folks at the “Safety Differently Book Club” will be hosting a Pub Night on Thursday April 17 in downtown Vancouver. Its a fun group and a good way to unwind after your first day at the Western Conference on Safety. Celebrate 10 years of the Safety Differently Book Club with complimentary appetizers, engaging conversations, and a book giveaway. Hyatt Regency Guest Room Block Sold Out

MARCH 18, 2024: THE HYATT REGENCY VANCOUVER HAS NOW SOLD OUT OF ALL AVAILABLE SPECIAL CONFERENCE RATE GUEST ROOMS.  As the conference is also sold out of regular conference seats we will not be setting up any additional guest room blocks at any other hotels.  Fortunately as of today, there are a number of hotels in the downtown Vancouver area available at varying rates.

If you want to register for one of the few “BreakOut Session ONLY” seats please call 604.233.1842. If you want to register for the Friday only or the pre-conference courses, you can still register on line. With the limited number of  seats still available and the strong possibility that they may sell out before you contact us, we strongly suggest you DO NOT make any travel arrangements until your registration is acknowledged AND CONFIRMED by our registrar. Please note that the on-line form sends an acknowledgement of your registration but this is not a confirmation that your registration has been accepted.

We still have lots of room if you want to attend the conference, but it looks like our program is a winner! If you know you want to attend, complete your registration and get it in. If you are coming in from out of town, act fast while we still have some of our guest room block available. Note that early payment deadline is March 15th – time flies!
